The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will roll out the digital rupee for the wholesale segment on 1st of November as part of its first pilot test programme. During Union Budget 2022, the Ministry of Finance announced rollout of Digital Rupee from 2023. Watch the full video for the complete overview.

The pilot project to test the digital Rupee which began this morning has not been without its hiccups. According to dealers, some of the transactions were stuck during the test runs. RBI to launch Digital Rupee pilot for wholesale segment; identified 9 lenders to participate
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday said it will commence pilot launches of digital rupee (e-rupee) for specific use cases from November 1. In view of this, the central bank will launch a pilot in digital rupee for the wholesale segment on Tuesday, according to an RBI statement.
